listen mario is more iconic to my own childhood bc it’s the only series i ever played but we have had enough mario. the reign of mario may come to a close at this point. can’t cancel kirby just look at the baby can’t cancel tloz bc it’s too good aesthetically and from what i can tell it’s still got more story to tell and you can’t cancel sonic there’s going to be middle schoolers who still need to make a hedgehog oc and act like shadow hedgehog at school

and yeah i’ll say it you can’t select any celebrity to be queer representation if they are not openly queer like. it’s the same reason why everyone laughed when dumbledore was proclaimed to be gay despite it never being mentioned in the series no dumbledore is not queer rep even if he *is* gay and it just wasn’t mentioned. bc he’s not representing shit it’s the same thing
